CG Costa Graia

Costa Graia is a blend of different Cesanese di Affile vineyards in our property.

2014 Vintage will be remembered as one of the rainy one of the last 30 years, especially in the period between May and August; our crus, which make up the Costa Graia, responded to this climate in a different ways, letting us to do a big selection in the vineyards, eventually opting mainly for the Vignali area as the parcel to choose grapes

Vinification was carried out in a 32hL stainless steel tank. Spontaneous fermentation had slow progression but improving step by step so that we could end the sugars without any problems.

Alcoholic fermentation lasted for about 15 days; The malolactic started immediately afterwards and ended before the end of November.

The aging was done for 8 months in 700 liters French oak tonneaux and then in cement for a period of 10 months.

Light addition of sulfur, to ensure proper protection, made in May 2016, a couple of months before waning moon bottling.

They were bottled in July 2016, after a total aging of 19 months, about 3300 bottles of 0.75Lt.

Before going to the market, in December 2016, wines have passed in bottle a period of about 5 months.
